Completing the Daily Mile
England Does The Daily Mile
Year 4/3 love doing their Daily Mile but this week we had a special one on Friday 30th April. In celebration of Sir Tom Moore’s 101st Birthday, our school endeavoured to complete 101 laps in his honour. Inspired by his dedication and determination, we completed 9 laps towards the school total.
This week we went swimming, we walked to the pool every afternoon and worked so hard during our lessons. Everyone achieved their own personal goals and we all gained confidence in the water. Read more to find out what we thought of our lessons.
Today marks @captaintommoore 101st birthday
Today marks @captaintommoore 101st birthday. We honoured this by completing 101 laps as a school on our mile run. This also marked National Mile Day. KS1 created their own headband and included words to describe Captain Tom. We are inspired by him in KS1.
