It is the policy of St Anne’s Catholic Primary School to ensure that no pupil with special educational needs is the subject of discrimination. All pupils, including those with SEN, follow the same Admission Arrangements (see Admission Policy). The Governors consider that our admission criteria should not discriminate against pupils with SEN and should recognise the spirit of the SEN Code of Practice. Please find our Admissions Policies below.
You can make an objection to the Office of the Schools Adjudicator (OSA) if you think that the admission arrangements of a maintained school or academy do not comply with the ‘School Admissions Code’ or other legislation relating to school admissions. Details of how to object are available on https://www.gov.uk/schools-adjudicator-make-an-objection-appeal-or-referral.
ADMISSIONS TO THE SCHOOL will be determined by the Governing Body in accordance with the relevant Admissions Policy – parents must apply for a Reception place online via the Knowsley Council website https://www.knowsley.gov.uk/education-and-schools/school-admissions. Please be aware that you must also complete the ‘Supplementary Information Form’ and return it direct to the school office; a receipt will be issued.
Nursery application forms must be returned direct to the school.
In Year Admissions
The information provided in this leaflet aims to help parents/carers follow the ‘in-year’ application process for school places; for use when you are requesting a transfer from one school to another at any point during the academic year.
