SEND & Inclusion

SENCO’s Welcome

Hello, my name is Lorna Harry and I am the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) at St. Anne’s Catholic Primary School.

I love being the SENCo here in our school and I am passionate about helping our pupils access the best education and support we can provide.

Our recent Ofsted inspection recognised the reflective practice and hard work that goes into supporting our SEN pupils.

Ofsted Report (November 2021):

  • Pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), can choose from a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
  • Pupils with SEND access the full curriculum.
  • Leaders quickly identify the needs of pupils with SEND. They use a range of agencies to meet these needs. Staff plan appropriate adaptations to make sure pupils with SEND are fully included in all activities.

My day to day job is to oversee the operation of our school’s SEN policy.

I am responsible for ensuring our staff have the appropriate training as well as communicating with schools parents / carers and the external agencies associated with the children.

If you have any concerns / questions I can be contacted via email at stanne@knowsley.gov.uk. My working days are Monday and Tuesdays and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Kind regards,

Lorna Harry
