My name is Janice Burrows and I am foundation governor at St Anne’s Catholic primary school. The school has been part of my life for over 20 years since my own children attended; they loved their time at St Anne’s and it gave them a great foundation for their next step into secondary school. Whilst they were at school I was part of the PTA and when a vacancy for a foundation governor arose over 10 years ago I welcomed the opportunity to become more involved. During my time as a governor I have seen the expansion of the school and addition of the nursery after the closure of St Agnes. It is wonderful to have seen the nursery provision grow and the children now have their own space.
I live locally and attend St Agnes church regularly where I help with children’s liturgy. I work for the NHS in Knowsley as a Wellbeing Coach and enjoy walking in my spare time. I also enjoy camping when the weather is good.
