I have a Master Degree in ‘Public Service Administration’ specialising in Social Security, a skilled professional in operational delivery and implementation of transformational change programmes in public services.

Governance Experience:

In 1980s to 1990s, I served 2 x terms as a Parent Governor in my sons Catholic primary school based in Liverpool Local Authority area.

I am currently a Foundation Governor in another Catholic primary school based in Knowsley Local Authority area.

I am a trustee board member for a leading homeless charity.

Personal Information:

I have resided in the parish of St Agnes & St Aidans for over 35 years and participate fully in the life of the church. I am currently an Extraordinary Eucharist Minister, Liturgy Reader and Baptism Catechist. I am 44 years married with 2 x sons in their late thirties and have 4 x grandchildren aged between 2 years and 12 years. I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren performing childcare duties and undertaking regular school-runs.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Religious Education Link Governor
  • Reception Link Governor
  • Pay Committee Governor

Why did you become a Governor?

I am passionate about improving the life chances for families experiencing material deprivation and social exclusion and believe high quality primary education helps children develop socially and emotionally and provides the essential skills that lead to higher incomes and employment opportunities in later life.

I am also a Trustee on the board of a leading homeless and housing charity covering the Liverpool City region, working with people struggling to manage their accommodation as a result of  family breakdown, poverty, addiction, criminality etc.

In another role, I also help families to resolve disputes affecting children.
