About Me

I am a Foundation Governor, appointed by Liverpool Archdiocese on 22 July 2022 for a 4 year term of office. I have resided in the parish of ‘St Agnes & St Aidans’ for more than 35 years and support our Church Community as a Eucharist Minister, Liturgy Reader and Baptism Catechist. I am a retired civil servant with a career spanning 42 years in leadership and management roles within one of the largest ministerial departments in the UK. All my working life has focused on helping people to gain work skills and qualifications; to secure and retain jobs; to increase household income and improve social mobility.

A long career in public service has made me passionate about improving the life chances for people experiencing material deprivation and social exclusion. In my retirement, I continue to share my professional expertise by volunteering as a Trustee on the board of a leading homeless and housing charity that works with people struggling to manage their accommodation.

I also offer my time within the family justice system, helping resolve disputes arising in respect of family matters, particularly those affecting children.

Last year was my first year as Foundation Governor at St Anne’s Catholic Primary School and I am delighted to be a part of this incredible school community, I was particularly privileged to be the Lead Governor for Year 6. As a parent and grandparent, the education of children has always been of paramount importance to me.
