My name is Paula Keegan. I have been a Foundation Governor at St Anne’s Catholic Primary School for over 7 years. My main responsibility during this time has been SEND and Diversity. In this academic year I also became the Safeguarding Link Governor for the school.
I grew up in Huyton and attended St Aloysius Catholic Primary School and St Aloysius Gonzaga Catholic Secondary School. I attended Roby College and graduated from Liverpool University in 1995. My professional qualifications and background are in Human Resources (HR). Since graduating, I have been a Local Government HR Office for several Local Authorities and I joined the HR team at Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) in 2003 as a HR Generalist. The past 10 years I have specialised in Learning & Development, however I have recently moved into a new role within the JLR HR team as a Case Manager specialising in Absence Management, Disciplinaries and Grievances.
I have 3 children who have all attended St Anne’s Catholic Primary School. My oldest daughter has just started A Levels at St Julie’s Sixth Form and my son is in Year 10 at St Margaret’s Academy. My youngest daughter is in Year 5 at St Anne’s.
I am fully involved in the Parish community and attend weekly mass at St Agnes, where I also get involved with the Children’s Liturgy and Holy Communion preparations.
I am really passionate about SEND and diversity and I am totally committed to ensuring that all children at St Anne’s Catholic Primary School are given the opportunity and support to reach their full potential.
