Eco Team visit to Court Hey ParkÂ
The KS2 members of the Eco Team had a fascinating visit to Court Hey Park this week where we were joined by Mersey Biobank, Friends of Court Hey Park, Mersey Rivers Trust and local councillors to find out about improving our local greenspaces, see some of the insects attracted to the new wetlands and helped to create some habitats to encourage wildlife by planting reeds and collecting litter.

Working with our local schools
The Roby Councillors work closely with all of our schools. There was a recent Cop 26 activity with St Anne’s Catholic Primary school year 6 children. We had 21 attend the cop 26 session on the Thursday and 16 attend on the Friday. The class were making their own wetlands to learn how wetlands capture carbon, and how important wetlands are in the fight against climate change. They also learnt about the new wetland at Court Hey.
